Libya – US Repositions Military Assets Offshore. Special Ops In Country 1 March 2011

Posted on March 1, 2011

According to Prison Planet, the aircraft carrier Enterprise has been repositioned in the Gulf region and it may not have been the best move:

Earlier today, we reported that the US military is in the process of repositioning its forces in the area around Libya “to be able to provide flexibility and options.” And while we have yet to get an updated US naval map for this week (the last one can be found here), it appears that the USS Enterprise which was previously on its way to the Straits of Hormuz has made a 180 and has now backtracked completely through the Red Sea and is now once again north of the Suez, where it has joined the big deck amphibious warfare ship Kearsarge. This means that the USS Vinson is again left alone to protect the highly combustible gulf region, which now includes both Bahrain and Oman, in addition to Yemen and of course Iran and Saudi, on revolutionary watch. It may be time to send Abraham Lincoln, which in turn is patrolling the South China Sea, back to the Persian Gulf as the possibility of a flashpoint escalation there is far greater than around Indonesia (which however would leave all of Korea and China unguarded). Keep an eye out on CVN 74 and 76 – Stennis and Reagan. If those two start making a move west, then next steps can be extrapolated quite easily. [Prison Planet]

Want “old news” on our ground forces in Libya?  Read Infowars ranked just ahead of SamHenry’s On my Watch.  If you search under “are US special forces in Libya,” You will see Infowars ranked just above On my Watch. BUT (wait for it) Sam Henry used the same reference to build an article here 5 days earlier.

When you come to this website, you will usually find global news as it breaks.  SamHenry is an old info-hound.  Here are the search results for the above.

Here is the Infowars lead in using the same reference, The Pakistan Observer (note the date):

US Special Forces have reportedly landed in Libya to train anti-Gaddafi rebels as a western-backed coup d’état in the oil-rich nation nears, with British and French “defense advisors” also arriving to set up training bases in the rebel-controlled eastern region of the country.

According to a report in the Pakistan Observer, hundreds of special forces personnel from the US, Britain and France arrived on February 23 and 24 in “American and French warships and small naval boats off Libyan ports of Benghazi and Tobruk.” [read the remainder of the post at Infowars].
