Obama’s “I Got Bin Laden” Royal Progress Continues With Meeting Seals in Kentucky

Queen Elizabeth 1 – Royal Travels

The press, Vice-President Joe Biden and now the President himself don’t care who is put at risk, they are determined to get as close as possible to the location of the Navy Seals of team 6 who killed Osama Bin Laden this week.  Obama will travel to Fort Campbell in Kentucky to pinpoint their location and to put them, their families, colleagues and other families at risk.

The “I” factor in all that surrounds the death of the most sought after terrorist and criminal has carried the day with Obama.  Photo ops with wreath-laying ceremonies at ground zero, chatting with first responders before a luncheon with them and getting out the message that he’s just a normal, down-to-earth guy like them smacks of campaigning.  He is drawing out the whole thing by paying the personal visit to Ft. Campbell today at an appropriate time for the news cycle.

The former Presidents no doubt did not wish to attend the ground zero ceremony to keep the event from turning into a circus.  The nation would have been better served by a low-key service of thanksgiving somewhere and that would be it.  Leave ground zero the quiet, sacred place it is.  Send a commemorative wreath.  In doing so, you will best honor those who have died, the first responders, and the men of team 6 who brought down Osama Bin Laden.  Encouraging citizens to dance in the streets only provokes a stronger al Qaeda deathly response and is irritating our European allies.
